The Lower Mustang trek is apart from the Annapurna Circuit trek. It is the single most popular trek in the diverse landscape with various cultures and traditions found along the route. It gives a perfect insight into the rural life of the people living in this area. This trek delivers you the sightseeing of beautiful Kali Gandaki River which is George carved and carries water from the Tibetan Pleated. You ‘ll experience the stark, barren landscape of the Lower Mustang which is dotted with Tibetan Buddhist cultural attractions on the course of the trek around Jomsom. The altitude in this trek is not too high so that normal person can go hiking in this area. The flying between Pokhara and Jomsom speeds up the journey.

The journey of this trek starts after your arrival in Kathmandu. Nayapul is the starting and ending point of this tour. Trekkers like to go from Jomsom to Muktinath which is a famous pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Muktinath is the sacred place for Hindus. People believed that taking a bath here in water guarantees salvation after death. It is the place that great sage Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) meditated at and to all, it is the source of fossilized ammonites which is locally known as Shaligrams to the Buddhist. Shaligrams are found all along the upper reaches of the Kali Gandaki River valley. This trek is best for all round the year.
