Upon arrival, guests stay in Kathmandu's most popular tourist area, Thamel; to relax or indulge in some shopping on the busy streets. Your trekking guide will be available in the evening to give you a detailed trek briefing and final equipment check. This is a good chance to ask questions and get ready for your upcoming trip. You can also go to the nearby markets, cafe or cultural sight before moving on to a welcome dinner and spending an overnight night in Kathmandu based on your arrival time.

After having breakfast at Phakding, the trail moves towards the Dudh Koshi River with stunning views of pine forests and local settlements. On the trail, you cross several suspension bridges decorated with colorful prayer flags; while also enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The trail passes through Monjo, where your permits are checked before entering into Sagarmatha National Park. From there onwards, the trail takes you through dense forests and river crossings until the trail starts ascending gradually up to Namche Bazaar. On a clear day, this section provides you the first glimpse of Mount Everest. As the scenery becomes more dramatic and thrilling in the surroundings, the feeling of reaching the heart of the Everest region becomes more exciting. In the afternoon, you reach Namche Bazaar, which is the largest Sherpa village and an important acclimatization point on the trail. You may get to explore the weekly market where local traders, from the nearby villages come to sell their fruits, vegetables, and other products. Here at Namche, you are going to spend the night before your trek tomorrow.

Spend this day as an essential acclimatization day so that your body can get used to the altitude. It would be better not to use this entire day only to rest, but do some hiking up to a higher altitude. In the morning, after having your breakfast, you can make a short hiking trip to the Everest View Hotel which is considered to be one of the highest-placed hotels in the whole world. You can also get the opportunity to enjoy fantastic views of the peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and other surrounding peaks. After you spend some time observing the views, you can go back to Namche Bazaar where you will have your lunch and a relaxed afternoon. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the village, visiting local cafes, or simply resting at your teahouse; before continuing the trek tomorrow.

This is an another important day to acclimatize before moving up to the region of Mt. Everest. Instead of resting all day long, you can have an enjoyable hike to the summit of Nangkartshang Peak, which is one of the best viewpoints located above Dingboche. This climb helps your body to get adjust to the altitude, while providing you with stunning views of the Himalayas. From the viewpoint, you can also enjoy panoramic views of mountains such as Makalu, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Island Peak, and the valley of Imja. You return back to Dingboche for lunch and a rest in the afternoon, after spending some time on the top. Here, you are going to stay for a night in a teahouse in Dingboche.
